Brendak gave him a firm jerk of his head. Let's see if this will work.
"I'll see if I can find a way out with Fidella," he lied to the remaining group before darting out the way that Fidella had run.
The moment that he came into the hall, he halted, listening for something. The sound of blastershots, muffled by distance and several walls, reached his ears among the many shouts of an excited crowd. Perfect.
Brendak slipped around three turns before the parade of yells and noise of a horde was only around the corner. Taking a deep breath and murdering the thoughts that screamed he was insane, Brendak stepped into the main hall and stood facing a huge band of Rodians.
Rodians. Why was it always Rodians?

(Ketreelawa will be gone for about a week and she gave me permission to continue writing for her characters while she is away.) Ketreelawa froze, unsure of whom to follow. Her Padawan training had not prepared her for such a dilemma; a conflict not between two enemies, but between two allies, two Jedi masters. Ketreelawa watched as Sarahi started toward a different tunnel and Fidella and Brendak headed back to where they had come in. She sensed something strange through the force. Something wasn’t right; something wasn’t as it appeared to be. She pushed aside her thoughts and tried to focus on the present situation. Deep down, young Ketreelawa knew she could not leave the others behind, even if it meant risking her own life to try and help them. She quickly drew her lightsaber and followed Sarahi. (I hope this is okay. I’m not used to writing about Jedi or the Force. ) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Aurra glanced down at the screen that showed a band of Rodian gangsters running through a passageway. Deafening alarms resounded through the room and through the tunnels. Aurra quickly ran to the nearest console and tried to get past the security systems hoping she could stop the self destruct sequence and silence the alarms. She glanced toward the doors every few seconds and pulled out her blaster and set it near the console as she worked. Suddenly, the console froze and Aurra couldn’t get it to respond. Aurra began to realize her attempts were futile; there was no way she would be able to stop it before it was too late. She glanced up toward Jarx and Kara before yelling, “We have to get out of here now!” She quickly grabbed her blaster and headed toward the nearest door.

Lisa snarled. "Run away and leave the others? Is this what 'Masters' such as yourself have been doing for all these years? Abandoning people? I may not be a jedi, but I know what's right and wrong. I may just be street-trash, but at least we ji'darhs know to help each other out. (note: I'm making up words. Ji'darhs are gang members in Coruscanti street-slang, according to Lisa.)
Jenina shook her head, and followed Ketreelawa. After all, she owed the Wookie her life.

Shaa, like she could sense in Ketreelawa, was torn. Fidella had decided to go back, Sarahi to save the others. She felt a tug at her heart to run away, back the way they had come. But she knew that wasn't the way it was meant to be. One minute later, Shaa had caught up to Sarahi.

Kara heard the call. She answered, We are in the command center. We are leaving right now and Jarx is getting pretty adamant about leaving. I bet he would tell me to tell you to leave now and don't worry about us.
Kara looked around. She saw the warning lights, the fact was, she knew there was no way for them to disable the detonation sequence and that there was no way that she, Jarx, and Aurra could get out in time. The others had a better chance at that then they did. Even the gang members did.
She knew this only because she knew they didn't know were the detonation chamber was, and it took them more then fifteen minutes to run here. Even if they made it out, they could still be caught in the blast zone.
She looked at Jarx and knew that they were probably as good as dead.
--------------------------------
Jarx already knew Kara talked to the others. He saw her concentrating and he had seen the look before. He also knew when she was done and was thinking about their situation. He also knew that they were both probably thinking the same thing. They had to find a different way out of here.
He looked at the video screen and a light bulb went off in his head. He saw most of the creatures running down the halls, away from the fights. They knew what was going to happen, and that meant they probably knew a way out. Or they just wanted to be together when they all died which would spell disaster for Jarx and his two comrades.
He made sure his blaster was on full power, "We need to go, now."
Aurra and Kara followed him outside the door and they ran as fast as they could following Jarx as he held a device that was showing him a small layout of the area, and the video footage that he managed to hack into so he could follow the beasts.
---------------------------
Fidella didn't care what the others thought. He had important information to get to the council and report their findings about the beasts.
He also would chastise any of the others that survived, at least the ones that disobeyed his orders. He was the main jedi leader of this mission, and they were to follow him. But he would get to that later.
--------------------------------
The rodians moved quickly down the hallways. There were a lot of them. They managed to beat back the beasts, at least they thought they did. The demolition squad had a general idea were the bomb was and were running as quickly as they could.
The main leader sent several of those squads, but stood near the entrance just in case they were unsuccessful. He could still get out if needed be, and he would be hauling the caucuses of several of the beasts as loot. He would leave with something, that was for sure.
-----------------------
The sith watched. He still had ten minutes or so before he had to be on his way. Just long enough to see this through. He couldn't control anything, he could just watch.
He then noticed something on one of the screens that interested him greatly. And he watched, and watched, to see what would happen.

Lisa skidded to a halt. Rodians...and not just any Rodians. Gang members...one that ruled with bombs... The sharp tang of explosives made her nose twitch. She had to find that bomb.... Without telling anyone, she bounded into the darkness to find the explosives.
Jenina felt the panic and mixed emotions the chaos was creating in the people around her. She could only feel them, not respond to them.

"Jenina!" Sarahi snapped her fingers. "Follow Fidella and make sure he gets that information to the Council!" She looked at Cla'Tal. "We have to find Jarx. I have an idea, it's crazy, but it could work too."
Just then, she heard a reply through the Force; Kara. We are in the command center. We are leaving right now and Jarx is getting pretty adamant about leaving. I bet he would tell me to tell you to leave now and don't worry about us.
Sarahi smiled and thought back to Kara. I never follow orders.
"Sarahi, what exactly is going through that thick head of yours? I mean sure, running into a battle without a lightsaber is cool and all, but trying to survive a bomb, it's kind of insane."
"Well..." Sarahi didn't stop running to chat.
---
"Master, there's no time...we're dead." Lonn gripped his lightsaber hilt tightly before returning it his side. "What to we do now?"
"We go down with a fight." Sarahi was deteremined tht she and her padawan's ends would not be today. "Follow my lead." she said summoning the Force.
Together they created a Force shield, but Sarahi knew that wasn't going to be enough. More power. She thought, and took a more balanced stance. Sarahi felt herself stratle the Dark and Light side of the Force. It was risky, but later on, it saved their lives.
---
Sarahi grinned. "Just get ready to follow orders."
(That's about the only idea I have)

(Nice idea actually. ) Jarx saw were the beasts were going now. He punched in several numbers and then sent them to everybody else, "This is Jarx to all of you jedi. I have found a escape pod of some kind. All of those who are not leaving the building, meet there. I may need some time to get into the system but we should be able to get out of here right when the place goes...Hopefully." ------------------------------ The demo squad ran quickly. They encountered several of the beasts along the way. It was like they were trying to keep them from the bomb. The rodians kept blasting there way through. They were so close but yet so far. -------------------------------- Kara had her lightsaber close, but so far nothing tried to stop them. They kept going and were so close to the escape pod. -------------------------------- Fidella and those who followed him made it to the entrance of the facility. But they had to stop as they saw heavily armed Rodian Gangsters manning the entrance with a giant red one in the middle.

"Did someone call for a jedi?" Cla'Tal said as they approached Jarx and the rest of his team. He looked at some of the computers and grinned. He let out a long whistle. "Wow...this looks fun."
"For you maybe." Sarahi's eye narrowed ad she shoved Cla'Tal away from her a bit. "How much time do we have?" she asked Jarx.

Ketreelawa was relieved to see that Jarx and his team were safe...for the moment. How much time did they have? Minutes? Seconds?
"How much time do we have?" Sarahi asked Jarx.

Shaa quickly made her way to where Jarx was. When she got there, she was happy to see every one was safe and uninjured. She seriously hoped that Fidella and those that followed him would be able to get through the Rodian Gangsters. It was the only chance they had to get the information to the council.

Jenina nodded. "As commanded, Master Qui." She turned, and force-ran to where Fidella was. "Reporting under command, Master."
(Is it okay, what I'm having Lisa do? Try to find the bomb first before it detonates?"

Aurra analyzed the situation. A self destruct sequence had been activated by a band of Rodian gangsters who had breached the premises of the installation. Why? The group didn’t exactly have a bunch of time on their hands to sit around and figure out why. As a loud alarm system had graciously informed them but a few minutes earlier, the group had fifteen minutes to evacuate the premises. Aurra wasn’t sure how much longer the group had left. Jarx, Kara, and Aurra had then proceeded to find an escape pod somewhere deep in the installation. A few Jedi, apparently concerned for the small group’s well being, had met them there. Aurra glanced around to see Sarahi, Cla’Tal, Ketreelawa, and Lisa. The only Jedi who had not come to the escape pod were Jenina, Brendak, and Fiddela.
Aurra found Jarx working on gaining access to the escape pod’s system.
“Any progress?” Aurra asked in hurried tone. “You need ‘the expert’ to speed things up a little bit?”

(You may not want to do that....)
Fidella hadn't thought of a plan, but he had to come up with one. He activated his lightsaber and decided to just get the fight over with. He didn't have time for peaceful negotiations.
Jenina watched him and just mimicked him, understanding what he was doing. The Rodian leader spotted them and spoke in basic quite fluently, "Now looky here...Jedi...what do you know."
Fidella spoke as calm and authoritative as he could, "This place is about to blow and I am on an important mission for the council. Please step aside."
The Rodian shook his head, "No Jedi scum. We will deactivate this bomb, and we will have no witnesses to speak of this place. This will be my fortress."
Fidella decided just to go. He jumped off the ledge he and Jenina were standing on and sliced open one of the thugs before he landed. He deflected several blaster bolts while the Rodian laugh, "I was hoping you put up a fight."
--------------------------------------------------
Jarx looked at Aurra, "Be my gust, we only have five minutes!"
------------------------------------------------------
Kara looked at Sarahi and had an idea of what she might do, I can help.

(Me? Not have Lisa try to disarm the bomb?) Jenina drew her twin sabers, feeling slightly confused. They blazed to life in bright yellow light.
