THe whole team exited the elevator. A reeking stench filled their nostrels. Jarx said a silent thank you about his helmet which had a smell filter. They could all see the filth that littered the streets. Bums went this way and that, and the occassional pickpocket could be seen making an easy score.
The whole team walked without a word. They were all in deep thought, about the mission, each other, and why in the world they were doing there.
Kara and Jarx were in the front. Kara was mainly with Jarx, why, anybody could guess. But Fidella thought it was because Jarx was the only person she sort of knew.
Fidella then thought back to the day he saw his family slaughtered on Tantooine. He was discussing something with his mother over a comm channel, when he saw the Mandalorians burst in. THe lead Mandalorian saw Fidella on the other screen, and made it a point to execute his whole family right there in front of him.
After thinking on these things, he let his thoughts drift, not caring about how close his thoughts got to the darkness of his mind.
-----------------------------------------
"Are you sure you will find something?"
Jarx looked at Kara, "I am sure of it."
Kara looked away, "I don't know. If this sith Lord already went through and gathered what he wanted, what is to say there is something still there?"
Jarx shrugged his shoulders, "Then we are out of luck, but waiting around is not going to help us out at all. We will just have to move to the next area, then the next, till we get answers and a clue as to what this sith is really looking for."
---------------------------------------
ELSEWHERE
The sith Lord waited on his dark throne. They had gathered as much as they could from the data banks on the planet of Taris, but couldn't find any information that would tell him where the escape pods went. He was thinking if they could find those, they would be able to gleam some information from those people before killing them. It didn't work out the way he was hoping.
The Rodian from Taris entered his room, "My Lord, the motion detectors on Coruscant have been activated."
The Dark Lord smiled underneath his mask, "Gooood. Lettt themmm gooo. THennn closee the trapppp we have settt."
The Rodian bowed, "Yes, my Dark Lord." Then she left.
----------------------------------------
THe group passed into the towering archways they discovered. One contact after another revealed these mysterious ruins, and that in fact a figure clad in black with sith troopers had passed through there.
Like the promise land on Taris, the walls were sleek and silver. The group came into a visitor like area, when all of a sudden the huge blast doors behind them slammed shut.
(Now talk, and explore.Make up somethings that you would like. I will change them if they do not fit. Enjoy! I also should be checking once a day.)

Sarahi walked silently with the group. Somehow over a couple of hours she had gone from her calm collected self, angry monster…and anyone was fair game. Staying quiet was the only way someone wouldn’t be eaten away by harsh words.
Adding to Sarahi’s attitude was the strange scent in the air. It wasn’t Coruscant’s sewers; the filter in her mask provided a clean smell. No, it was the scent that every part of Sarahi could sense. Evil…it’s had become a familiar odor in her life.
Sarahi stiffened and struck her hand downward. A cry emitted from an unfortunate pickpocket’s mouth when she broke his hand with her metal fist. “What you are trying to take will have of little value to you, Chakaar. This lightsaber belonged to my Master, and you not you are lucky it was your hand I broke and neck. Try to steal from anyone else in this group and I will make that a reality.”
The pickpocket nodded and crawled back into the shadows and Sarahi continued to walk forward her head lowered. She always took times like this to learn her surroundings. Although she didn’t feel like saying anything to the others, Sarahi sensed a trap.
~~~
“This place reeks, who would want to live down here?” Cla’Tal pretended to gag.
It’s not like the people down here have a choice where they live. Cla’Tal turned to see Sarahi staring straight ahead. He wondered if it was her who had spoken to him; she was one of only jedi who would think to you privately.
“So what is our mission?” Cla’Tal asked.
“Go with the flow.” Sarahi’s voice was tainted with anger. “It’s what you always do.”
“Sounds good to me.” Cla’Tal shrugged Sarahi’s unusual attitude off. Something’s changed.
~~~
Sarahi didn’t like the feel of the ruins they were in. An evil presence could be discerned like night and day. When the blast doors closed behind them Sarahi already had both of her lightsabers, orange and blue, humming with life. “I knew this was too easy, there is always a trap.” She switched off her lightsabers, but still held them tight in her hand. She wasn’t going to be caught off guard anymore.

Lisa shook her head at the treatment of the pickpocket. It was a natural part of life in the underworld of Coruscant. She grinned, thinking about past events in which she and buddies managed to pick the pockets of a very foolish, arrogant politician. Her reminiscing was interrupted by the sound of the door slamming shut. Pure instinct and past experience made both her knives appear in her hands as if they grew out of the skin.
Jenina jumped at the sound of the slamming. It was an ominous sound, filled with foreboding.

Fidella slowly walked up the smooth steps, "If this is a trap, where are the things that are supposed to kill us?"
Jarx looked up at some of the towering statues that seemed to gaurd the place. THere was two on each side of the huge room. Each one had someone or something wielding a lightsaber. He saw that there were inscriptions at the bottom of each on a gold tablet. He didn't bother reading them, guessing they were statues of famous jedi or sith.
Jarx had one of his hands close to his blaster pistol the whole time. THe holster was unlatched so he could quickly draw out his weapon in case he needed it fast.
Kara looked up, "Was it just me, or did anyone else hear that?"
Everyone was quite as they listened. A feint tapping noise reached their ears. It sounded far off, but it gradually grew louder and the tappings increased.

Lisa tilted her head, her ears swiveling, attempting to track the sound. "Destroyer droids, perhaps?"

Ketreelawa listened and stayed quiet. After a minute or so, she started to wonder if she was even breathing. After exhaling as silently as possible, Ketreelawa studied the place in which they were trapped. Her paws tensed ready to grab her weapons at any sign of an attack.
"Destroyer droids, perhaps?" Lisa suggested.
Ketreelawa pondered the thought of destroyer droids.
"They would have to be multipying." Ketreelawa thought aloud, "Because the sound is being added to, not just getting louder."

Jarx drew his pistol and Fidella drew his lightsaber. Brendak had his own lightsaber out as well, "I don't like the sound of whatever is coming towards us."
---------------------------
Kara didn't pay much attention to the others. Her attention was drawn to one of the statues. She always was in love with art, and the statue of the jedi was marvelous. On the same pedestal was a four leggeded creature. Unlike the statue, it had some color to it. It's four powerful silver legs gleamed from the lighting on the walls and cieling. It's neck went like a dog's, but it's face was much different then a dog's. It had two eyes pointed foward the gleamed like rubys in the daytime. It's mouth was shut, but just from what it looked like, it had a powerful jaw.
----------------------------
The tapping continued and now it didn't come from one direction, it came from several. THe tapping's went faster and faster till they were not tappings any more, but giant thuds.
THe whole team were practically back to back, looking at every entrance, which were six. Two doors on each side of the room, and two doors at the top of the stairwell leading out of the room. This excluded the massive blastdoors that they came through.
Jarx had his helmet scanning for anything on any frequency, but got nothing, "It can't be droids, I am getting no frequency scans."
Brendak replied, "Just because you are not getting any scans back does not mean they are not droids. THey could be masking there own signals."
Jarx then noticed Kara wasn't in the group, but was looking at a statue. But when he looked at her, he saw something beyond her that made him shout out."
------------------------------ Kara didn't even have time to cry out as the beast which looked like a statue jumped her. The silver beast opened its massive maw to crush her head.

Aurra tensed as the tapping increased in volume and became giant thuds. She silently drew two blasters from their holsters on her belt. She could sense the group gathering closer together in a defensive position. She scanned the surrounding area searching for any signs of an impending attack. She watched with slight horror as she saw a beastly statue come alive and jump toward Kara.
Aurra heard Jarx shout and waited a slight moment for one of the jedi to save her. She realized that the jedi had not yet caught on and sighed and rolled her eyes. She pointed her blasters and firing continually.

(Robbie, are these creatures Albino Kath Hounds? I'm basing my post off of the thought that these creatures are. If they aren't, then I can easily change my post, or you can delete it)
Aurra's shots were not half bad, and would have killed almost any normal sized beast on the spot. Only this creature was much different. It's thick fur provided an organic sheild to it's body, and so Aurra's blaster shots probably felt like a wasp sting in comparrison to what it should really feel like.
The creature wasn't hurt, just far more irritated and angry. The beast ruffled its fur and took a step towards Kara. Sarahi rushed forward with a burst of speed and tried to catch the creature's attention. When that didn't work, she leveled it's sharp teeth with a swish of her lightsaber.
The beast howled in annoyance and switched it's focus onto Sarahi. "Aim for the inside of the mouth, hit this thing's joints and eyes. Only well placed shots will take this thing down!" Sarahi swallowed; she had never seen the likes of these before. She knew, however, that these things would come in packs, and where there was one, there would be more. Force help us all.

(Unfortuntly, they are not. I meant to explain more in my last post but I had to get off in a jiffy. SO you may want to edit a little. Its skin is actually metallic, but of an organic nature. Something not yet seen in the Star Wars galaxy. SOmething of my own making if you get my drift. Just something to spice up stuff since we are in a mysterious installation.)
The metal beast kept snapping its jaws, trying to get them around Kara's head. She kept moving her head around, and her body to avoid the claws and teeth.
Jarx fired several times at the thing but it kept shrugging them off, not even paying him mind. It was to focus on its current prey. To the group's horror, more of the things bounded out of the doorways. Brendak ducked low and cut one of things front legs so that it went sprawling to the ground. It howled in pain which showed it was a living breathing thing, but its blood was black as oil.
Jarx saw his blaster did nothing to the thing's hide so he tackled the beast that stood over Kara. If the thing had stood on its hind legs it would be taller than anyone in the group. The beast and Jarx rolled several times before Jarx finnaly managed to get ontop. He put his blaster in the things mouth and fired several blasts into its mouth before the thing finally stopped moving.
Several of the beasts started to circle their opponents. One of the metal beasts growled something, and as soon as it did one of the others jumped Sarahi, and another jumped Aurra.

Ketreelawa let out a frustrated growl. The blaster shots seemed to be doing nothing. When two beasts jumped at Sarahi and Aurra, Ketreelawa had to make a choice.
Sarahi is a jedi; she can protect herself better. She has the force. Aurra may be a great warrior, but the force is not strong with her. Of the two, Aurra will need my help. she thought.
Ketreelawa ran forward towards the beast that jumped at Aurra. Taking a giant leap with the force, Ketreelawa landed on top of the beast.
"It's not honorable for a wookiee to use claws, Ketreelawa." A voice said in her mind.
Ketreelawa would have laughed if the situation wasn't that serious, Not honorable? she thought, I was born a bad omen to the wookiees. Being honorable for them is of no importance.
Ketreelawa studied her long, sharp claws for a moment before attacking the beast with them. The most damage she made was a few scraps on the back of its neck. But now, the beast was more angry. It howled and reared up; Ketreelawa had to dig her claws into the beast to stay on. When it landed down on it's front feet once again, Ketreelawa grabbed her Ryyk blade in one paw and her lightsaber in the other. She pierced her lightsaber into the back of the beast's neck and hoped that it might actually cause some damage.

Pain. Sarahi cried out as one of the beasts clamped down on her arm. It was by the Force's grace that it didn't take her arm off completely. "Usenye, to all Nine Corellian Hells with you!" she pried the beast's teeth away from her bone. With a quick swipe of her lightsaber, the creature's teeth were seperated from its mouth forever.
With a thrust of her lightsaber the beast would never harm anyone again. Unless it comes back from the dead. Sarahi thought while staring down at the blackish liquid that leaked from the creature's chest. She looked at her arm. Blood was flowing freely, but not bad enough where she would pass out from blood loss. An easy fix for any jedi healer.

Jenina winced as the beast bit Sarahi. "Master Qui!" She ran to the wounded Jedi's aid, pulling out her MedKit and digging out medical supplies.
Lisa snarled, and let out a feline's fight yowl. She ducked under the beast that had attempted to get Aurra, joining Ketreelawa in fighting it. She dug her knives into belly of the creature, deep into it's chest. They released an electro-charge that would slay an angry charging Bantha. But these aren't banthas, are they..they're something no-one's seen before..

Jarx helped Kara up to her feet and saw two more of the beasts go down. The two made sure they were back in the circle that the group made. The silver beasts kept circling them, their red beady eyes ready to spot one mistake, one weakness to exploit, one opening for them to pounce.
Brendak spoke, "Those things have some sort of communication."
Fidella loked at him, "Why do you say that?"
"THat thing had to growl just once for two of those things to attack." Brendak replied.
Kara had drawn her lightsaber and twirled it around some, "THey won't get me by suprise next time."
The beast that had growled was different then the others. It had a head ornament of some sort that was melded into its skin. It was also almost twice as big as the others. It's hide was not silver like the others. It was a crimision red, and its claws a dark blew. It's eyes were bright red as the others.
It took one step closer, growling unintelligible words. Jarx tensed as he saw several more beasts jumping from hidden places in the cieling, whatever these things were, they knew all the passage ways through this installation.
Jarx looked behind him and saw a door way that none of the beasts came through yet, "Make your way through that doorway, maybe we can get lucky and be able to seal it off once we are through.
The thing looked up at Jarx with a certain hatred in it's eye like it could understand him, and comprehend that it's prey found a way to escape.
It motioned with its head and two of the circeling beast broke off and made a beeline for the door way. Jarx and Brendak broke off and each made a way to one of the beasts. Brendak managed to nock one of the beasts off its trajectory by hitting it in the side with his lightsaber, while Jarx had to resort to the same rudementary tactics as before, tackeling it, "RUN!"

Lisa growled. "I never run from a fight." She gripped her knives in clenched fists, snarling at the beasts.
Jenina examined Sarahi's wound, wincing sympathetically.
