(LOL!! Thanks! But I TOTALLY loved yours!! Sarahi's thoughts were so true and real!)
Brendak found himself caught up in her smile. It made him feel.....Complete. If Sarahi was fine, everything else in the world would fall into place.
Sarahi shifted awkwardly. "I'll see you later then?"
Before he could even open his mouth, she had raced off in the other direction. A twinge of disappointment gnawed at his mind, but he let it fade away. As if Sarahi's actions didn't speak loud enough, he felt pulsing vibes roll off of her that told him that she desired solitude.
He turned to leave, but was hit with a wave of memory.
"I--I'm sorry! I don't know what's wrong with me!"
The twirl of her cloak, onyx under the night sky, twisted around her thin frame as she leaped to her feet. A small, silver sheen glinted from beneath her hood as she ran from him, desperation and shame expressed in every stride that she took to get away from the moment that they had shared.
His own cries for her to wait were drowned out in his own sense of discipline. What they had done defied everything in the jedi order. But by the time he figured that he still had to find her, she was gone.
Brendak paled slightly, his breath coming in shortly. It couldn't possibly be the person, could it? But any logic that screamed at him, trying to get ahold of his thoughts, was lost the moment that he shoved himself away from the wall and ran after Sarahi.
Inside, he stifled every thought that he had. Doubt, obidience, and sensiblilty had to be pushed away because the only things that he wanted to believe made no sense to him, and the one thing that he was sure of rebelled against everything he lived his life on. He wasn't about to let the chance slip away again, even if it turned out to be another one of life's cruel decoys.
As he came around the halls, his heart sank. Sarahi wasn't anywhere to be seen. She had gone further than he had expected, once again.
Realism finally grabbed ahold of him and he stopped. What was he doing? Something utterly insane. Something that would have made no sense to anyone, had he tried to explain it, and something that surely made no sense to him. Rationalism was something that he had been forced to except all of his life, you did your best to deflect the blows of life and tried to weather the storms of its fury.
Suddenly, a thought came to him. He swallowed. He knew exactly where Sarahi had gone. Every doubt possible shook his mind, attempting to rid him of what he knew he had to do. Or rather, where he had to go. It was time to stop defending himself from life, it was time to fight back. With what he knew to be right.
Dodging fellow jedi, Brendak made his way to the far end of the temple, and found himself growing slower with every step. When he finally reached the balcony, he had come close to a full stop. Sarahi stood there, looking out over the city.
Brendak stood, unable to move or breath, watching her. She was her own class. Not a sith, not a healer, not a warrior, not even a jedi. She was just Sarahi Qui.
"Sarahi."

A slighty worried and confused expression appeared on Aurra's face as she reached out and touched Lisa's forhead. "What are you talking about?" Aurra asked with a puzzled look, "Are you feeling ill? You feel really warm; you should go lie down somewhere and get some rest." Lisa gripped Aurra's wrist firmly, and pulled it from her forehead. The humor gone from her eyes, replaced with the stern piercing stare of an annoyed feline, Lisa looked Aurra squarely in the face. "It is wrong to steal. And from a youngling Padawan? That's even worse. Stealing is not tolerated in this place, nor will I simply allow you to go around picking pockets." Without realizing it, she was echoing words that were spoken to her when she first came to the Temple. "I am very disappointed in you, Kantura. I expected better from you." The Jedi teacher was watching her, hand on hip. "It is wrong to steal. And from your own classmate? Stealing is not tolerated here. You cannot simply go around picking pockets." The young teenage girl he was lecturing didn't seem to show any remorse or guilt at her actions. The teacher sighed. "Return this to your classmate, and then go practice three extra hours in the courtyard."

Father! Father! The image of a ghost like child was still fresh in Sarahi's mind. Even after months had passed since her second trials, her vision from the Trial of Spirit still haunted her. What was worse was that every time she slept the image of each twin had gotten clearer.
Sarahi shivered. Dark blue eyes with a green tint, on a face that wasn't quite pale, but close to it. Dark brown hair that brought out white smiles. Some features like Sarahi's, but then others of the still unknown father.
She remembered his voice, clear as day. "Sarahi." She flinched and shook her head. It was almost as if she could hear it out loud. Sarahi froze, sensing a familiar presence. She turned slowly and held her breath.
Brendak stood behind her, almost unmoving. A look of uncertainty spread across his face, and another hidden emotion that Sarahi had a hard time reading. Recognition? She mentally shook her head and gazed at Brendak for a moment more.
Dark brown hair complimented his midnight blue eyes. His pale skin seemed a bit darker in the shadow of the balcony's archway. Strong, yet slender frame hinted grace in any movement he made. Oddly, Brendadk almost seemed familiar, as if she had known him for a long time.
"Brendak?" Sarahi felt her voice quiver. "Can I help you?"

Shaa smiled and nodded. They started out for a cafeteria, taking in all the familiar surroundings of the Jedi Temple. Once they got to there, She snatched a drink and they sat at a table together. "So," She asked Cla'Tal. "If it's not too bold for me to say, what can you remember about your life before you came to the temple?" Shaa hoped she had not just touched a raw nerve, or brought back any bad memories. When people asked about her childhood, she did not think about all the betrayal and death, or about the horrible moments she wished to forget forever. She thought about her beautiful home on Naboo, her family, and Brii, a friend that was taken away from her a long time ago. Shaa thought about how wonderful it all had been. She became a Jedi to protect the very life she had once had. She wanted others to have it, forever.

Cla'Tal shrugged and took a sip of water. "I don't remember much at all. I was three when I came to the jedi temple, so not too much of a memory there. Although, I do remember my father being a bureaucrat and my mother was a senator." He thought for a moment. "Those three years of my life were spent with a nanny. I'd hate to admit it, but when the jedi came to our home, I think my parents were almost happy to give me up."
Cla'Tal cleared his voice. "Of course that's what I think, it's probably not true at all." he smiled. "What about you, if you don't mind me asking?"

Shaa shook her head. "Not at all. From what I can remember, I grew up in a small, peaceful town on Naboo, away from all the excitement at the capital. Then, something happened, and I was taken as a slave. I don't remember how long I was there, I made myself forget, mostly. But, then my master found me, and brought me to the Temple to train as a Jedi. And here I am." She smiled. "I want to go back to Naboo some day, though. It was very beautiful there."

Cla'Tal chuckled. "Hmm, most jedi seem to come out of slavery. Sarahi was a slave before she came to the Jedi Temple." Cla'Ta; sighed and changed the subject. "I lived on Naboo while I was...away from the Jedi Order. I would love to take leave there someday."

(haha! I almost wrote, "Anakin came out of slavery"!)
Shaa took a sip from her drink and let her mind wander into the unknown. "That Sarahi Qui. . ." She mumbled. "She is quite the Jedi. I've heard a lot about her, and it will be very interesting to continue on this mission with her. I look forward to it." Shaa smiled.

Brendak couldn't help but smile at her words. "Haven't you done that already?"
He took a cautious step closer to the edge of the balcony. "You save my life at the risk of yours, offer support in a way that no other jedi would, and continue ask if you can help me." He shook his head slightly and his eyes softened. "Do you always rescue beings because of your jedi duty, or is it because you can feel their wounds, because you need to be rescued as much as they do?" He said quietly.
He breathed out softly. "Let me help you, Sarahi," His eyes locked onto her pale. "Please."
He walked over next to her. "Tell me about Lonn, Sarahi. Not what you're supposed to think of his death. But what you really feel," He whispered. He hesitated, knowing that he was hitting a raw nerve, then continued. If Sarahi didn't face this, he knew it would destroy her. Which was something that he now realized that he feared more than anything. "The true anger that fills you."

Sarahi could feel her heart beating up into her throat. What could she say? Here Brendak was offering her something that no jedi had taken the time to listen to; her feelings. Sarahi swallowed hard. "It's not exactly Lonn. I loved him as a son yes, but it's not what has been holding me back."
She quivered, and tried to force the words out of her mouth. "It was him. The reason I'm...half droid." she gestured to her face. "He was the one who killed Lonn." Sarahi couldn't look Brendak in the face. "He was a sith...he was... my twin brother."
Sarahi felt a felt tear roll down her cheek. "He was arrested only a few months ago when he and his apprentice ambushed me." She stopped, unsure if she should say her next thought. Somehow though, talking to Brendak made her tongue loose. "If I had my way, I would have, and still would if I had the chance. I'd would kill him. Make him suffer they way he had made me suffer all these years!" Sarahi couldn't control her shaking. "Even then, it wouldn't be enough."

Jenina thought for a moment, then decided to try and find out what she could about Jarx. He was an interesting figure. And besides, what could a little information hurt? She began researching in the database/archives of the Holo-Net.

Brendak winced, feeling the scars on his own heart come to life at Sarahi's words. It was what he had felt for so many years that he had lost count. He had admitted his pain to only one person other than his own heart, but even then it felt like he never quite knew the poison that he felt grow inside of himself. Until now.
Sarahi's words named his fears and brought forth old knives that had grown blunt over time. But hearing her brought back the memory of his past feelings, and Sarahi's current ones. But for a reason that he couldn't yet fully comprehend, her agony drove a spear of anger and pain further into him then his own ever could have.
He soaked in her words. "I know," he said quietly. "The universe holds trillions of beings, billions of planets and more different kinds of power then anyone could ever count. But none of them can help you get back," he swallowed. "What that one person took away. You feel that maybe, if you could put them through half as much as they made you endure, the pain wouldn't be so intense. But," Brendak hesitated. He placed a hand on Sarahi's shoulder. "But then you realize that, no matter what you did to them, how much it hurt them, it could never bring back what's already gone."
Gently taking her other shoulder, he turned her towards him. "Sarahi.......I'm so sorry."

Cla'Tal chuckled. "Yes well, we have spent a lot of time together in previous years. sarahi is quite a handful that's for sure. Of course, which jedi isn't?"
~~~
Brendak was right. She couldn't ever get back what she lost. All the words that anyone had said to her didn't have any affect. Somehow though, Brendak's words struck deep into her heart. It was if he had taken his lightsaber and slashed her inner prison. Sarahi, for the first time in a long time, felt free.
Tears came at first, but then they were replaced by quivering shoulders. Joy suddenly erupted from her in a blast of laughter. Sarahi pulled Brendak into a tight embrace while trying to keep her fit of giggles under control. "Thank you!" she whispered. "Thank you." And Sarahi meant it, from the bottom of her heart.
(*screams* Guys, I leave for one day and come back and things are going on! Help! Ha-ha)
Ketreelawa wondered through the temple halls ignoring all those who stared with confused expressions. Of course they're confused. You're supposed to be dead. she thought, And aside from that, they've always looked at you like you were supposed to be dead, or like you were an unheard-of alien. . .
"Why did Master Kendalia choose me? Why? How did I deserve her to be my trainer?" Ketreelawa whispered to herself.
"Master Uka, why would you choose her?" Annli asked bluntly, "She's. . .so strange."
Kendalia laughed, "Now, now, Annli, everyone is a little different. I'm different. Trent Kuuno's different--"
"You got that right, Master. What kind of Master takes his padawan to a cafe for no particular reason except to eat sweets?" Annli commented.
Kendalia nodded, "Anyway, Ketreelawa is a friend of mine and always will be."
Annli scoffed, "She's a wookiee, and to make matters worse, she's a white-furred wookiee. You know that they're considered bad omens?"
Kendalia scowled, "And you believe that?"
"No."
"Good." Kendalia hopped into a speeder, "I chose Ketreelawa Ochor as my padawan, because she has loyalty that can not be broken. I would have no one else as my padawan. Ketreelawa will be a great jedi one day."
"Only because you trained her." Annli smirked.
"No, young one." Kendalia shook her head. "This is one thing you must understand: A Master does not put the Force in a padawan, a Master brings it out."
Jenina sighed, and decided not to just research Jarx, but the other members of their group as well. She had nothing else to do, after all.. She wandered through the hallways, attention focused on her Holo-Net viewer data-pad.
