(No, that is totally fine Jenina. ) Lisa rounded the corner in front of Aurra. "Aurra, did that little one let you borrow her lightsaber?" she asked, a small glint of humor in her eyes, her cat ears turned forward toward Aurra. Aurra quickly grew irratated with herself. How could she have been so careless to not have seen Lisa enter the garden? Aurra made a mental note to be more cautious, then she turned to Lisa. "Hmmm? . . . What little one? What lightsaber?" Aurra said with a straight face, "What are you talking about, Lisa?"

"Master?! Where in the galaxy are you going?!" Talla yelled with disbelief.
Trent Kuuno didn't slow down even as his padawan sprinted to catch up with him. His face was blank yet focused. "Talla, have you realized how wrong all this has gone?"
Talla had to jog beside her master to keep up, "What do you mean master?"
"Kendalia isn't insane, dispite what the council says, right?" Trent started.
"Of course not." Talla replied.
"Well I'm beginning to wonder." Trent muttered as they turned down another corridor.
"Master! I hope you're being sarcastic." Talla said.
"Not this time."
"What in the galaxy could make you think she's insane?" Talla questioned.
"She's leaving the order." Trent said simply.
"She's insane!" Talla exclaimed.
A small smile flickered onto Trent's face, "I knew you would understand my point of view."
"What are you going to do about it?" Talla asked.
"Duh, padawan, I'm going to try and stop her." Trent rolled his eyes as though it were obvious. He stopped in front of Kendalia's quarters, "Wish me luck."
"Master, jedi don't believe in--"
"Forget it, Talla. Stay here." Trent said before grinning once again and entering.
Ketreelawa's eyes opened and a smile crept onto her face. I'm experiancing Talla's memories. . .That must mean that our Force Bond. . .
Things were headed uphill for Ketreelawa. The Force Bond that she had thought was broken, had been re-established. Her smile turned to a frown as she thought about the memory. It all was so confusing to her.

She put out one hand, silently requesting her to hand over the lightsaber. Jenina sighed, finishing her research. Not much had changed in the information she had obtained.

Shaa left her quarters stocked with her one and only attachment, since her Master's death, food. She didn't think the council would kick her out of the Jedi Temple for having too much. She wasn't carrying that much anyway, just two packs that fit on her belt. As she walked down the Temple hall, her gaze fell upon a group of Jedi she didn't recognize. There was one though, striding right in front of her, that waved to the group, that Shaa did recognize. She ran up to his side. "Where are you going?" She asked Cla'Tal, catching his stride and keeping the pace. Cla'Tal was caught off guard. He grinned finding some excuse for what he was up to. "Just wandering around really." he winked. "I don't need too much more for this mission. I restocked everything already so I'm good to go. What about you?"

"Yeah," Shaa smiled. "I just finished packing some extra food. You never know when you'll get hungry." She winked back, then glanced around. A few Jedi close to where they walked cast them faint looks of worry or annoyance. One even rolled his eyes and looked away as they passed. Shaa narrowed her eyes and looked over at Cla'Tal. "Why are they. . ." Her sentence trailed off. She was begining to sound like an annoying padawan who talked too much.

Brendak tried to walk slowly and take in everything around him, which wasn't easy with Keline pulling on his cloak, dancing forward every couple of steps, and surging ahead in sudden bursts of speed.
"Master, would you hurry up?" Keline said with exasperation, a hint of a whine in her voice. "We're going to miss him!"
"A jedi's life revolves around patience," Brendak countered, but at the same time not being able to help feeling relieved that Keline hadn't changed. "Who are you so anxious to meet, anyway?"
"You'll see." Keline grinned broadly and sprang ahead a few feet before turning back to him. "But you won't if you stick to your jedi principles!"
"They're your principles too, Padawan," he murmured, quickening his pace and stepping into sink with Keline.
They rounded a corner, and jumped backwards when padawan a little older than Keline nearly ran them over and impaled them at the same time with a pair of twirling lightsabers. The male padawan leaped away, barely escaping the blow of an older, female jedi with a single lightsaber and ten times the talent.
Brendak's eyes widened when he recognized the two jedi, but Keline voiced his thoughts before he could even open his mouth.
"Master Sarahi?" Brendak's padawan said in amazement. "When did you get back?" Not waiting for an answer, she turned to the padawan with equal disbelief. "Asbek?" Lifting her eyes, she smirked loftily. "I see even the best healers on Coruscant couldn't fix your face. You have my most sincerest pity," she said with a mocking smile.
Brendak used his forefinger to snap Keline on the back of the neck and she squeaked. "What was that for?" She cried indignantly.
Ignoring her, Brendak bowed slightly. "Master, its good to see you soon," He said quietly to Sarahi. Then turning to Asbek, he nodded. "You've grown in more then size, padawan Rein."

(Awesome last name for Asbek, Brendak!)
Cla'Tal rolled his eyes at the jedi who gave them disgusted glances. He wrapped his arm around Shaa's shoulder. "You just got to ignore them. Although they won't ever admit it; most jedi have egos the size of rancors." He offered a grin. "We are the type of jedi that bring life to the Temple."
~~~
Sarahi gave a light smile towards Keline. "Just making a quick stop before we head out again. Actually your master has been with me this whole time."
Asbek, clearing ignoring the polite conversation between Sarahi and Keline, spoke back to the rival padawan. "Too bad the healers couldn't fix your brain."
Quick as an acklay, Sarahi's hand grabbed the top part of Asbek's ear and squeeze tightly. "None of that from you." she scolded. "I also believe you were addressed back Master Shiel, so it would be polite if you answered back." she let go of the padawan's ear.
Asbek held his wounded ear and hid his hurt pride. "Thank you Master Shiel. It's nice to see you again, and almost a pleasure to see you Keline."
Sarahi put a palm to her face. "What have I gotten myself into?" she shook her head.
(Glad you like it, Sarahi! !) Keline snickered when Sarahi punished Asbek. "At least I have a brain," she said. "And the day that it's a pleasure to see you, is the day that I go blind--" "Anyway," Brendak gripped Keline's shoulder and cut in, figuring this a good moment to intervene. "Master Sarahi and I aren't staying. The mission demands that we be elsewhere." "What?" For a second, Keline forgot all about her worst enemy and turned to her master. "I thought that your quest was finished, and that....." she trailed off and looked up at him imploringly. "You have to stay!" Shooting a quick glance and Sarahi and Asbek, Brendak fixed his attention on Keline. "What's so important that I would have to stay behind?" After a moment's hesitation, Keline puffed out her chest and grinned. "Master Syphas thinks that I'm ready for the trials within a year!" She cried proudly. "Me! Can you believe it! I can't! I thought that it would take at least three years for the council to recognize all of the talent that I have!" Brendak's head spun. Keline? Ready for the trials? She was only seventeen! And a lot younger in heart....... Then he remembered that they weren't alone. "Uh, excuse us," He said to Sarahi Qui and Asbek. He turned and headed down the corridor, drawing Keline away with him. He hoped that he hadn't left to much of his feelings exposed so that Sarahi could feel them, but he couldn't worry about that at the moment. Keline was talking too loud. "....So then master Devrin Syphas was like, 'I think that your skills have grown to a point where they have little more to achieve.' And you can imagine, I was amazed that he said that and I was speechless--" "I find that hard to picture," Brendak mumbled. "Ha ha. Anyway, he told me that once you got back, you could finish off the loose ends of my training and I would be ready!" She finally stopped and sucked in a long-awaited breath of air. "So, what do you think?" Brendak hesitated. Honestly, he didn't know what to think. Keline was in the top of her class, her skill with a lightsaber was something to marvel at, and many had expressed that her talent put her ahead of the rest of padawans her age. She could use the force well, but often chose not to, placing too much trust into her devastating blades. A fact that Brendak didn't approve of. She was bold, brash, and insanely reckless. She listened to him, some of the time, but not many others. Patience was also something that she simply didn't have. There were so many things that he didn't have time to work with her on. So many different virtues, lessons, battle-strategies-- Brendak stopped himself. If he had a hundred years to perfect Keline, it wouldn't be enough for him. A padawan was never fully ready to leave their training. But there were some things in the galaxy that had to be sought by oneself, without a master to guide them. Keline was ready. Ready to face the world on her own. Ready to put all her training to the test. Ready to be her own jedi. Ready to leave him. "I think," he said quietly, but with the hint of a sad smile on his face. "That I am so proud of you......" Keline yelped with delight, flinging her arms around him and embracing him tightly. "Thanks for everything, Shadow." Brendak swallowed. Fighting back an emotion that he hadn't felt in a long time, he gently let go of her and watched as she raced off and told the news to random, passing jedi. He felt his heart sink as she grew further away from him with every moment, in more ways than one. Keline was all that he had left. Almost everyone else had parted ways with him long ago, most with their final breath. The rest of his life had been scrapped away, but Keline had stuck through it all. He furiously fought back a stinging sensation that clawed at his eyes. What had Keline called them? A team. No, the team. He was already worried sick about her, and she hadn't even left yet. Brendak knew that she would become something great, a jedi to be remembered, but something inside of him ached to let her go. Deep within his heart, Brendak knew, but couldn't bring himself to admit it, that he loved Keline. She had grown more like a daughter to him than a padawan. This has to be what it feels like to let a child go, he thought wearily. Unable to face his pain any longer, he headed in whatever direction that the hall would take him. For the first time, Brendak Shiel felt the bitter cry of loneliness.
Sarahi watched as Brendak pulled Keline aside. She smiled remembering how often she had to do that with Lonn. She turned to Asbek. "I think today's lesson has ended, but learn to bite your tongue or someone just might cut it out from your mouth."
"Yes master Qui." Asbek bowed and went on his way. Sarahi shook her head and smiled and turned back around just in time to pick up on some of Brendak and Keline's conversation.
"...Master Syphas thinks that I'm ready for the trials within a year!" Keline cried proudly. "Me! Can you believe it! I can't! I thought that it would take at least three years for the council to recognize all of the talent that I have!"
Sarahi chuckled. Lonn had been close to the trials. She clearly remembered Lonn's face when the Council said that his trials could start really soon. She also remembered her heartbreak at the thought of losing him.
A lot of the jedi masters make it look so easy to let their padawans go. Honestly though, it's not. It's like losing a son or a daughter. Sarahi could feel Brendak's pain, and could relate to it well.
She quickly stepped up her pace to catch up with the master and padawan. Sarahi was only a few feet away from Brendak when Keline ran off happily. She watched as the jedi she probably most respected walked off, clearly brokenhearted.
Sarahi hesitated for a second, but then ran after him. "Brendak!" she put a hand on his shoulder to slow him down. "It's harder than the make it look isn't it?" she said softly. Sarahi swallowed down her tears. "When Lonn was nearly ready to take the trials, I was...terrified. The thought of not having someone to look after, someone to...love, hurts more than a thousand lightsabers into your back."
She paused unsure of what to say next. "Padawans are always something more to their masters. Lonn, was like a son to me, and when he died I---" she stopped and lifted a hand to her face feeling a single tear fall from her eye. "I'm here, if you ever need to talk.
Shaa laughed at Cla'Tal's friendliness and grinned at the Jedi around them. "Yes, indeed we are." She looked up at him and smiled even more broadly. "And it's good to have someone else that thinks so." Shaa muttered to herself. She focused on Cla'Tal. "Now, I think you were going somewhere. And please, by all means, continue. I don't want to be a stick in the mud."
(Jenina, just a quick note; feel free to push the issue. ) Lisa put her hands on her hips, watching Aurra's face. "That little Twi'lek padawan. You picked her pocket, didn't you? That's how you got the lightsaber.." She put out one hand, silently requesting her to hand over the lightsaber. A slighty worried and confused expression appeared on Aurra's face as she reached out and touched Lisa's forhead. "What are you talking about?" Aurra asked with a puzzled look, "Are you feeling ill? You feel really warm; you should go lie down somewhere and get some rest."
Brendak stared at Sarahi, too stunned to speak. Sufficient words failed him, but he was unable to control the pain that washed off of him in waves. Sarahi Qui had voiced his thoughts and fears, his fear for his padawan's safety, his love and hope for every move that she made, and the unbearable pain that he already felt at her coming departure.
He couldn't help relaxing considerably at her comforting words. They were what he needed most. Someone who understood true, wrenching pain, not a jedi who stated the code without emotion and scolded you for feeling anything at all. In that instant, he felt a piece of him fall into place. A piece that had been missing for a long time: Trust. He had learned from when he was ten years old, the day his father had killed his mother and destroyed his house with his sister trapped inside, the number one rule that every loner recited to themselves every time that they felt an attachment growing. Never, ever, trust anyone. He had kept that rule close to his heart, and though he gradually let go of some of his paranoia, he had never truly been able to repair that part of his heart.
But here, Brendak knew before his mind could even comprehend the danger, that he trusted Sarahi Qui. And no broken, scarred, memory could make him take back the feeling and recant.
Acting upon the new, and surprisingly relieving, sensation of trust, Brendak didn't try to hide the pain or thankfulness that played across his dark eyes.
"Thank you," he said. And he meant it. Although no amount words or actions would ever fully explain to her how far his gratitude ran.
(Heh, the food thing was easy to pick up on.)((Brendak, awesome post! So much emotion! I think my heart melted!))
Cla'Tal grinned. "Alright then. Lunch it is." he winked.
~~~
Sarahi returned his thanks with a smile. She didn't know what to say. Somehow she always had the right words to say say to someone, but right now, in front of Brendak, she found herself tongue tied. Sarahi suddenly felt heat rising to her cheeks, and she suddenly felt very awkward.
Thank you...come on that easy to reply to! Just say 'You're welcome and let it be done. She cleared her throat and nodded. "I'll see you later then?" Right then Sarahi found her feet far more interesting that Brendak's face. Idiot! She mentally kicked herself.
Before Brendak could say another word, Sarahi spun on her heel and quickly walked away. She closed her eye. Please don't follow me, please don't follow me. She prayed silently.
Sarahi didn't dare glance back, instead, she made her way to her designated thinking spot; a balcony overlooking Coruscant. She sighed and stared out at the city. People were always heading somewhere, never stopping to look at the beauty that the planet seemed to offer. Sure there was smog and clouds of pollution from distant factories, but Sarahi looked passed that.
Buildings stood proud and tall as if they were to say: This is my place, and no one can take it from me. Sometimes Sarahi wished she could be just as confident as the buildings' unspoken words. If only she could turn to the galaxy and say: I am a jedi master, the Jedi Temple is and always will be my place.
She sighed and shook her head. After her second trials, her loyalty to the Jedi Order had been wavering. Although she wouldn't admit it, Sarahi saw the other jedi as extremists. "No emotion, only peace." She let out another long and burdened sigh. "If only I could believe that...emotion is what drives some of the greatest jedi. Love and compassion, gives the jedi the strength to keep going. Sorrow actually helps a jedi let go of a loss. Anger, lets a jedi know where they should never dwell if they let it get out of control." Sarahi looked thoughtfully ahead. "Am I the only jedi who believes this?"
