Jarx shook his head, he didn't have time to continue the banter. He took several steps foward down the damp dank tunnel.

Ketreelawa gently cradled Jenina in her arms, cautiously throwing glances around the dark tunnel wondering what dangers they would face next. "Thank you." Jenina said. Ketreelawa suddenly felt something she hadn't felt in a very long time. . . worth. She was worth something be helping Jenina. She had a reason to be in the galaxy again. Suddenly, Ketreelawa felt good, she was a jedi. . .a strong jedi. Jenina felt the change in Ketreelawa's mood, a stirring in the Force. It was an uplifting of the spirit. She smiled, and hugged her Wookie friend.

Ketreelawa's thoughts wandered, as they walked, to what she had been before her master was killed, what she had been that long hard year that she was held captive by Darth Morax. That dreadful year, when she felt worthless. . . Ketreelawa felt weaker than she had ever felt before—she was starved, beaten, and emotionally hurt. Everything that ever mattered to her was striped away from her, everything she had ever known was gone. Daily she was injured over and over again, but she did not submit herself to the power of the darkside. She did not mourn for herself, she did not cry. The light of hope, courage, and strength that had once burned in her heart had dimmed out months ago—she was of no worth. She had not smiled. She had not laughed. Joy had not come to her. In the deepest dungeons of the ship, there was no joy, there was no laughter, there were no smiles. Ketreelawa no longer dreamed of good things. Night after night, she would dream of burning cities, women crying, children screaming, men dying. Some nights she lay awake, staring at the wall, thinking of nothing. Her thoughts had left her. She did not speak. When food was offered—once a week—her appitite rejected it. Nothing mattered, all hope was lost. She felt nothing, thought nothing, said nothing—and in her mind, she was nothing. Sometimes she would look up at the ceiling of the dark pit she lain in, and wonder what her destiny was, but those times were few. Love was vacant. No one loved her on the ship, no one cared about her. She was alone, no joy, no love, no one to be there for her. She was scarred for life, emotionally and phyisically. Deep scars ran down her back from a vibro-whip that she knew all to well. Ketreelawa was on the brink of insanity, starvation, and death. She could remember one day that she had wondered if anyone remembered her back at the temple. Did her master forget about her? Did Talla or Master Kuuno? But that day was long behind her. Nothing mattered to her anymore. How long had she been on the ship? Months? Weeks? Days? Hours? Years? She didn’t know—she didn’t care. Nothing mattered to her anymore.
Ketreelawa couldn't help but smile, gone were those times of hurt and heartbreak. Gone were those times, when she did not talk, think, or dream. Ketreelawa was a new wookiee, a changed wookiee, a wookiee that had the strength to fight off an army! She looked down at Jenina--this jedi had helped her back to be what she always wanted, this jedi had saved her life. Her blue eyes moved to Aurra--she had made Ketreelawa laugh, something which she had not done for so long, she couldn't remember that last time. Ketreelawa looked up at the ceiling of the sewer, as if she were looking up at millions of stars, and murmered, "Master, I have found my way back. Master, I have not completely failed. Master, I will become the jedi you always wanted me to be." she whispered. You have made me proud, young one. You have found yourself with a group with which your life can resume. Trust those that surround you, they are your friends. Ketreelawa's master's voice echoed in her mind. Ketreelawa looked ahead at the tunnel--she was ready for anything.

Jarx slowly lead the group down the tunnel area, till they met a intersection point. Jarx motioned for them to follow him, and follow him they did, down the dark damp tunnel, into the east tunnels.
