Ketreelawa chuckled at Aurra's last comment. Aurra had done more than just make a joke. Aurra had given something to Ketreelawa that she had been deprived of for a very long time--happiness. When the elderly man motioned for the group to sit, Ketreelawa sat on the ground. Soon finding her self glancing around, not feeling confortable, Ketreelawa went back to a standing position. I feel more...prepared, standing. Ketreelawa thought, noticing that Cla-Tal and Brendak must have felt the same way. I prefer to stand anyway.

Jenina took the opportunity to treat Ketreelawa's shot wound carefully, being as inconspicuous and gentle as possible. Lisa watched the others with a feline's interest, keeping her ears covered by her hair, her eyes swapping to feline to see better.

Shaa sat down and listened to the old man. I wonder where we could find those diaries....
A place run by droids, huh? Most be a life of luxury. Something Shaa had never really had..

Brendak's brow knitted together at the thought of a land such as the one that Rukil had described. Many beings who were down on their luck often created far-off tales to pacify their own misery, but when he stretched out to the old man's conciouness, he found nothing false in Rukil's wild claims. That still doesn't mean that this guy isn't just plain crazy.......
While listening to Rukil continue to talk, he also skirted around the edges of Sarahi's mind until he discovered an open brain wave to connect to her through. She certainly kept her mind well guarded, but it was always near impossible to shut out the thinking process of what someone else was saying.
Being able to achieve access into her mind held up his side of the competition after she had force-pushed him, but he decided to continue on with the battle. Brendak could barely admit it to his own mind, but in order to satisfy his newly kindled curiosity, he had to know more about this jedi.
She was..... different.
Sending his own thoughts into her's, Brendak didn't even glance down at her while he said into her mind, " You will have to be more careful with your force abilities, master Qui."

Ketreelawa cringed as pain shot up from her wound to her mind, but she tryed not to show the pain that kept burning at her mind. Ketreelawa glanced at Jenina as she carefully treated the blaster wound. "Thank you." Ketreelawa whispered so not to draw to much attention to herself.

Sarahi's eye narrowed. Who says I wasn't careful? She threw the thought at Brendak. One more thing... Sarahi clenched her fist, hoping Brendak follow her message. Stay out of my mind.
Taking in a breath, and then letting out a small sigh, Sarahi turned her attention back to Rukil. Once he had finished speaking she needed a moment to think. "I will help, but..." She nodded towards the others. "It is their choice too."

Cla'Tal was bored. The undercity had giving them nothing to do besides listen to old men and their crazy stories. This planet was boring. This mission was boring. Cla'Tal started to wonder if Sarahi had be right to tell him that he didn't have to come.
Shaking his head Cla'Tal watched Sarahi intently, as if his gaze put a shield of protection around her. In his Trial of Spirit he had seen himself with another jedi. Cla'Tal had no doubt in his mind it was Sarahi. After leaving the order for two years, Cla'Tal had lost all of Sarahi's trust, and he had hurt so much, that he wondered if he would ever get the chance to help repair her heart. In time Cla'Tal...just...wait...

(Moving right along...)
Jarx sayed goodbye to Gendar and left, with Fiddella following behind. The two totally different biengs found the group listening to Rukils telling. Jarx looked at Cla Tal, "Time to saddle up, smoochy boy. And that means you too Brendak."
He didn't bother looking at the two, "Now, lets go find us some diaries."
(Next post will be us in the undercity, which the pace will go alot faster. Sorry it has been so slow!)

"Smoochy boy?" Cla'Tal raised an eyebrow. "Sorry, I really don't think you're worth kissing up to." He unclipped his lightsaber and looked at Brendak. "Know how to set this thing to stun? The guy with no personality is really asking for it."

Brendak stifled a smirk at Sarahi's last comment. "Your wish is my command, master Qui, " he sent to her, before severing their mental conection.
He raised an eyebrow when Jarx called them to leave. Questions began to form in his mind, but he instantly quelled them. Taking one last glance at the group behind him, which was now an all female group, he let himself wonder why their paths were being split.
Shaking his head, he turned toward Cla'Tal.
"Know how to set this thing to stun?" the jedi asked him randomly. "The guy with no personality is really asking for it."
Brendak scoffed. "The 'guy with no personality', just happens to be the only one that really knows what's going on."

Sarahi gritted her teeth and balled her hands into fists. She hated, HATED, when people called her 'Master Qui'. She glared at Brendak who had turned and started talking to Cla'Tal. She'd let him know just how far he had pushed her buttons.
Sarahi relaxed for a moment, letting her guard down and then gasp. A flashback slammed into her mind. Sarahi gasped and took in a deep breath, as the memory twisted and taunted her.
"We should split up master, we can cover more ground that way." Lonn stared up at her. "Maybe padawans together, and masters together?"
"Dream on." Sarahi rolled her eye. "Way too dangerous. The last thing I want is the both of you losing half of your height due to a sith's lightsaber."
"Yes master..." Lonn nodded and then looked up. "Master! Look!"
"What in---" Sarahi squinted and gasped. "It---it can't be!" But it was. "Lonn, get out of here now!"
"Master?" Lonn looked confused.
It was too late. Sarahi whipped out her ligthsaber as a sith jumped off his speeder and connected blades with her. Lonn dove out of the way just as the speeder flew past him. Flenwick and Larria were running as fast as they could towards her. Sarahi shook her head. "Stay back! This is my fight!"
"Long time no see sister." Nuru smirked. "Let's make this intersting and let you filthy little padawan join in."
"What?" Sarahi's eyes widened.
Time seemed to slow in the next few moments as Lonn rushed forwrad to help her. Nuru kicked Sarahi in the chest sending her sprawling backwards. Lonn's lightsaber met Nuru's but before the battle even started, it ended. Nuru held Lonn up in the air with the dark force and thrust his lightsaber into her padawan's chest. Sarahi felt frozen as her Lonn's lifeless body dropped to the ground.
Sarahi shook the memory away, forcing down her tears. She stood up and turned to Jarx. "We shouldn't split up." she said firmly. "Half of us don't know the area and it's dangerous. Who knows what else is lurking down here."

Brendak had barely managed to take a single step before a devouring wave of emotion slammed into his mind. He pressed a hand to his chest to keep from falling to his knees. A hurricane of sorrow enveloped him, and he was just able to conceal a gasp as he took a step backward.
His body throbbing, it took Brendak a moment to realize that the pain was not his own. Too late, he realized that he had neglected to completely destroy the mental bond that he had spoken to Sarahi through.
Before he could finish freeing himself from her mind, a world of vivid images grabbed his consciousness, and he was forced to watch a play of brutality and grief come to life right before his eyes.
A jedi, whom he quickly recognized as Sarahi, and a young boy that Sarahi called Lonn were making small talk on a planet that Brendak identified. He figured that Lonn was Sarahi's padawan. Brendak raised his eyebrows in surprise. Sarahi didn't seem like the kind of person that would have a padawan. Lonn suddenly started, and he watched as Sarahi's face contorted into a mask of horror.
A speeder raced toward them and a man about Sarahi's age leaped off and greeted her in a mockingly cold way. Brendak's brow furrowed together. Recognition beat so wildly in his chest that he hardly noticed when the man addressed Sarahi as his sister. Where have I seen him before? I know that dark hair, that pale face.... the strange contrast.......
Shaking himself out of the trance and pacifying his mind by convincing himself that he had sever seen the man before, Brendak watched as Lonn jumped forward while Sarahi was thrown back wards. He could feel his own pang of sorrow stick his heart when the man easily thrust his blade into the chest of the padawan who couldn't have been more than sixteen.
The phantom images disappeared as soon as they began, everyone stood in the same places that they were. Except Sarahi. She stared at the ground, looking like she had seen a ghost. Which she had, several in fact.
He quietly turned his gaze to the horizon, basking in the images that he had just seen. Sarahi's pain, Lonn's death, the familiar man that Brendak knew must have destroyed her world right then with out raising a lightsaber against her. More than sympathy touched his being, he felt with her. It felt like he was watching his whole life crash and burn right in front of his eyes once again......
Bringing himself out of his thoughts buried down deep, he pricked his ears to her Sarahi speaking. When she finished, he locked eyes with Jarx, or the place where Jarx's eyes would be if he hadn't been wearing a helmet, and nodded. "I for one, agree with her."

Shaa felt a wave of sorrow pass through the force. She lifted up her head and looked at the Jedi Sarahi, who it seemed to radiate from. But as she turned slightly, she felt more viberations coming off of Brendak. "What is up with those two?" She thought aloud, under her breath. When she heard Sarahi's statement about how they should stick together, she nodded in agreement. "I think we should stay together as well."

Jarx turned, looking deep into Sarahi's eyes. He could hear of past pain. He gave a inward sigh, "Don't worry, if you feel that way, then you have my gaurantee. Granted, there is no immdiate need to split up. But for now, we will stay together."
He turned his head towards Brendak, and gave a brief nod of his head, and lead them out of the Outcast village.
---------------------------------------
Fiddella kept his hood over his head. He looked at the gaurd at the gate as the passed. He sensed fear from him. He also sensed fear from the group. Fear of the past, present, future. He spit on the ground, he would almost hate fear if hate did not lead to the darkside.

(Make sure to read my last post in the sewers thread. I decided to skip us to here for time sake.)
Jarx handed the data pads to Rukil, "Here they are old man."
The man took the data pads, and looked at them.

Shaa felt her anger die inside of her as Jarx talked some sense into Brendak and Cla'tal. Maybe there was more to this Mandalorian then meets the eye. . . Shaa thought. She walked along with the group.
