The hutt spoke his own language, while a translator droid spoke for him, "We do run a arena here. Why do you ask, human?"

Bren could see Lisa out of the corner of his eye, fidgeting with her hair. He knew how she felt. He would have done almost anything to be able to fiddle with one of his blaster pistols. He leaned back in his seat. "Oooh, let's just say I'm a simple man interested in a few things: blood, glory, and money." He winked at the Hutt. "I think I can manage to get those things here." He slowly inhaled and exhaled, keeping his breathing steady. He had to think about Jarn, to pretend he was Jarn to stay calm. Because everytime he remembered he was Bren Kull, his heart began to hammer, and sweat threatened to squeeze through his pores, a dead giveaway of nervousness. That's why he had to treat it like a show...to stay in character.
He flashed Lisa a smile, before shifting his attention back to the Hutt, and what the droid was saying.

The hutt laughed, it echoed through the room, causing some of the other arena people to look over, "My type of man! So, this is how it is going to work. We split the profits 50/50, just because your my type of man. We have to come up with a name...what do you think?"

Lisa caught Bren's smile, and hid a smile. She could sense his nervousness, but also sensed his abilities, and smiled. He was doing an amazing job...

Bren leaned back in the seat. He wished he had thought to carry a drink to the table...so he could stall for time to think while sipping it. Now it reached the part where he was weak at. The reason he struggled to make a decent living? He couldn't sense when to press for money, or when to take the deal. "I think that you're making money off of me, win or lose," he said, watching the Hutt to gauge his reaction. "I need a larger share. 80/20 perhaps?" He glanced at a spot on the table, again wishing he had a drink of some kind. He resisted the urge to look at Lisa; although her familiar face would help keep him calm during this period of the negotiations, he didn't want to draw attention to her. ((I hope Bren doesn't blow it... ))

Lisa tentatively approached the bar, and purchased a drink. Returning to stand near Bren, she silently offered him the drink, keeping her head bowed, as if she was simply a serving girl.

Bren took the drink from her, staring at her for a moment with an open mouth. How did she...? He shook his head. Never mind. He decided against acknowledging her presence at their table. He took a sip, allowing it to sooth his dry mouth.

Lisa kept her head bowed, and backed up a couple paces. She hid a grin. I have my ways...

The Hutt laughed, "Ho Ho Ho! You are my type of man, and smart. Here is were I will make my stand, you get 65%, and I get the rest. If you lose, I get all of it. That is my final offer."
(Good bartering skills Lystar.)

Bren swirled the glass, making the fluid in it go around. He took a sip. "Deal," he said, setting it down. He knew that he could possibly get a little more profit out of the deal, but he didn't want to risk angering the Hutt and getting barred from the arena. "As for a name, I don't suppose the Amazingly Awesome Fighter would work." He chuckled, genuinely relaxing. A sense of giddiness flooded his mind. Relief that the bartering was over. But he also knew that the hardest part was still to come. He let that knowledge sober him so he stayed calm. A grin spread across his face. "Death Seeker sounds catchy...easily pitched to the crowds to build anticipation." Not far from the truth, he mentally added.

Lisa watched Bren and the Hutt, then glanced around at the occupants of the Cantina, keeping her eyes half-closed so as not to reveal their feline appearance.

Bren turned his gaze to Lisa, trying to read her mind on the matter. If he had to fight, and he had no graceful exit, especially now, then he would rather not delay any longer. But, on the other hand, the last thing he wanted was for her to be bored. ((This is your chance to have some say in what happens, Jenina. If you would rather Lisa and Bren to find a quest, than we'll do that. ))

Lisa looked at Bren, and slightly raised her shoulders in a shrug. It's up to you.... she thought. I'd be glad to be your second in the arena fighting... (Would she be allowed to fight with him? Alongside him?)
